Charlotte Rowe

The Design is in the Detail

On Friday, February 1st, 2019 the Garden Design Group hosted a public lecture by renowned garden designer & RHS Chelsea Gold Medal winner Charlotte Rowe.

Over the last 14 years Charlotte Rowe has built up a portfolio of over 200 designs and over 100 finished gardens which range from tiny roof spaces of less than 10 square metres to large country estates. However, it is perhaps her small spaces for which she is best known and which are in some ways the most satisfying and at the same time, challenging.

“Small spaces require huge attention to detail: accurate dimensions and design, carefully chosen colours and materials and plants which provide year round interest. If any of these elements are left out, a small garden or terrace will simply not work.” CR

Thank you to everyone who attended.

After the presentation, attendees enjoyed Fort Berens wine with small hor d’ouerves in the Ray Whittick Lounge and mingled with our generous sponsors and Garden Design Group members.
